Exercise after Pregnancy

So you've toughed it out for 9 months while packing on the pounds during your pregnancy, you've given birth to your wonderful baby and while your new baby is your number one priority you're also desperate to begin to lose those that pregnancy weight that you put on during pregnancy.

This is common for most mothers and it's completely understandable you should want to begin to regain your post-pregnancy figure to feel and look healthier again, and it can be achieved with exercise after pregnancy.

The most important thing to do is to take things slowly - start with short walks and light exercise after pregnancy such as swimming or cycling. Remember your body is still recovering from pregnancy and childbirth and is still quite delicate.

You can also do your exercise with your baby or other new moms to make it more fun. Take your strollers down to the park everyday with a friend and walk around the park a few times taking time to feed to ducks so you can all enjoy the experience and make your exercise after pregnancy not so much of a chore but something you look forward to.

Exercise is great for the mood and we thoroughly recommend you exercise after pregnancy, but make sure to leave a gap of 6 weeks before starting heavier exercise. Keep your exercise fun and you will have no trouble doing it and losing those pregnancy pounds and regaining your original figure.
