Exercise for Pregnancy
If you're looking to prepare yourself with exercises that might increase your chances of becoming pregnant, we recommend that if you're already a healthy, sporty type of person that you continue doing what you have been doing. If you're the type of person that does not do too much exercise, then it is probably best not to overdo things to quickly when you first start.
If you are already pregnant, then you definitely do not want to be overdoing the exercises. Yet, this does not mean that you should use this as an excuse not to do anything. Again, if you are pretty fit and active anyway, then there is no reason you should not continue at the same pace for the first few months, then slowly reducing the level of activity as it becomes more uncomfortable.
Amongst the best types of exercise for pregnancy is swimming. This is a perfect way to exercise during pregnancy regardless of your usual levels of fitness or activities. If you're able to spend an hour a day swimming, you will find enormous benefits, if your schedule does not allow this, then try to swim at least once a week.
Alternatively, you may want to consider a yoga class. Many fitness centres are now running special “Exercise for Pregnancy” classes. This is a great way to get yourself in shape with exercises designed specifically for pregnancy. This is also a great way to meet other expectant mums, often you will find that you establish friendships for life during these types of sessions as they will be having their baby at a similar time to you, meaning their children are likely to be at nursery, play school and full school at the same time as yours.
