Pregnancy Yoga

Pregnancy yoga is a type of activity that is absolutely good for pregnant women especially when done moderately. This activity can keep and maintain the pregnant woman's body in shape throughout her entire pregnancy. Pregnancy yoga is also known to be effective in relieving pregnancy related stresses because it allows the mother to be in harmony with her body's internal changes.

Yoga breathing is perhaps the most advantageous part of pregnancy yoga as this aspect is focused on techniques that induce physical and psychological relaxation. This part of pregnancy yoga definitely enhance the health well being of any pregnant woman and can be done during the entire period of pregnancy.

Standing poses are particularly beneficial pregnancy yoga activities during the first trimester. This will help the pregnant women to build up their legs and muscles and help with movement while reducing leg cramps as well. Pregnant women may also do some Asanas whenever they feel energetic but this movement should be done in extreme moderation to prevent unnecessary exhaustion and tiredness which is not ideal for pregnant women.

Pregnancy yoga with movements involving supine poses, backbends and twisting should all be set in moderation. Remember that the pregnant woman must never exceed the limit of her abdomen while she is pregnant. Pregnancy yoga is intended to promote healthy and light feeling and should not be overdo by the pregnant women. Pregnancy is considered a vulnerable condition in every woman so if in any circumstances that the pregnant woman feels exhausted or fatigue, she must discontinue her pregnancy yoga activities. In any cases or desire to engage in any activity, the pregnant woman should consult and ask the opinion of her doctor to be sure that it will not post any harm on the condition of the growing baby.
