Healthy Diet for Pregnancy

We're quite often asked for our opinion on what is a healthy diet for pregnancy, so we thought we would write a short article here about our views. Effectively, the best diet during pregnancy is a balanced one; this means a diet that ensures you are getting regular quantities of the foodstuff which is good for you.

We recommend three square meals a day; breakfast, lunch and dinner. Try to eat cereals, wholemeal toasts and swap your coffee for a herbal tea at breakfast. Plenty of fresh fruit juice and water is also very beneficial

For lunch, consider meals like salads, pastas and the traditional meals that include plenty of fresh vegetables. If you're a pudding type of girl, try freshly sliced fruits and low fat cream. Your evening meal should be along the same lines; effectively you're looking for a balanced diet across the whole day.

The best thing about being pregnant is that you should not be worrying about your weight. If you are worrying about your weight, then you need to stop now, this is because the additional weight is very useful during childbirth and the latter stages of pregnancy. This means that it does not hurt to eat a little more of our luxurious favorites we might usual feel guilty about eating.

The rules for a healthy diet for pregnancy are very simple, a healthy balanced diet which includes lots of items that include calcium, fiber, different vitamin supplements. However, don't forget that there is no reason not to have a few treats along the way.
