Actually if you've been trying for a baby for a while longer than you had originally anticipated, this phrase is likely to drive you to drink. However, there is a reason the medical profession use it so much, this is because there is a subtle difference between "trying" to get pregnant and "letting nature take its course". The emphasis is on relaxing and not making the "trying" become all and everything.
- Which leads us nicely to another very important point, women have better chances of becoming pregnant if they are less stressed, free of anxiety and calm. Whilst in today's hectic world this is not always possible, you may find the more highly strung amongst us women trying for a baby a little longer than the less stressed among us.
- Your lifestyle is also important, studies have proven the fitter you are the more fertile you are. If your general health is in good shape, you're more likely to conceive. - Eating the right foods is also a good way of increasing fertility, a healthy balanced diet with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables is on the whole much better than pie and chips followed by a pint of bitter. The onus is not just on the women here either, men have a responsibility to look after themselves as they will also find their fertility affected by consuming the wrong food types.
