Ovulation Cycle

Understanding the ovulation cycle can help every couple that is trying to get pregnant. This is not a mystery, however, in order to get pregnant you must know the days of each month that are considered your fertile days, this is where knowing your own ovulation cycle comes into play.

Not every woman has the same menstrual cycle therefore her ovulation cycle will also be different. Every month an egg is released from your fallopian tubes. This egg travels through the fallopian tubes and attaches itself to the wall of your uterus, there is will wait for fertilization. If the egg is not fertilized it will be flushed away with your menstrual period.

Determining when your egg will be released all depends on when you have a period. Some women have a 28-day cycle and most calculations including the due date of your baby is decided on this cycle, however, not all women have a 28-day cycle. This cycle is from the day you start your menstrual cycle to the next month when you begin again. This cycle can vary considerably between one woman and another.

Your egg will be released from you ovaries and travel down through the fallopian tube into your uterus. It will stay there until you begin menstruation. This is always 14 days for any woman. This is your fertile time. You need to learn your menstrual cycle to determine when these 14 days are in order to become pregnant. Once you understand when you are fertile, you will have a much better chance of becoming parents sooner.
