Signs of Ovulation - Having Difficulty Becoming Pregnant?

For many women, the signs of ovulation are as mysterious as the signs of the Zodiac. It need not be this way, in fact it is quite straight forward and is just a case of taking the time to understand your body a little better. The reason that we're keen to understand the signs of ovulation is because we are at our most fertile during ovulation, this means that our chances of becoming pregnant are increased hugely if we have sexual intercourse during ovulation, than at any other time of the month.

It's fair to say that many women with children of their own do not have any knowledge about the different signs of ovulation. This is because most women only become interested in the signs of ovulation after they experience difficulties in becoming pregnant. Usually, it is a few months after trying to conceive that couples start to research the topic of fertility a little more.

The fact is, it can take many months to conceive. Medically, there is no problem unless you have been having unprotected sex for over a year without conception. Yet, it is understandable that many couples are interested to learn about how they can increase their chances of becoming pregnant. So it is most likely that their doctor will talk to them about the signs of ovulation.

It is possible to monitor your own signs of ovulation, either by taking your Basel body temperature on a daily basis, or by counting the days following your last period. The Basel temperature is probably the best method as it will help you to detect the signs of ovulation more accurately. The issue with using the last known period to measure the signs of ovulation is that many women are irregular, meaning that it may lack consistency.

The serious side about understanding your own unique signs of ovulation should be apparent. Not all women can conceive with the ease experienced by others, so it is important that they use all of the available methods and information they have to increase their chances. The difficulty arises when the signs of ovulation take over the whole getting pregnant process.

We mention this because we've seen it happen. Women are literally pulling their partners out of their places of work because the signs of ovulation say the next two hours are the optimum time to have intercourse. Clearly, taking advantage of such a fertile time is important, however they comes a point when the act of making love and enjoying each others company is put to one side in favor of making babies. Many women are able to cope with this pressure, however a lot of men do not like to be told when to perform, they also do not like it when sex begins to feel more like a chore than an act of love.

Sensitive souls that they are, it's worth considering their feelings, even if it is just for a little while. Use the signs of ovulation as a guide, try not to allow it to take over your whole life. Remaining relaxed and calm is equally important to making a baby than understanding the signs of ovulation.
