Herbs that Promote Ovulation
For a long time, herbs have been used to promote ovulation, so Herbal Medicine considers infertility as an ancient myth. 1/3 of all cases of infertility are related to a women's problem, 1/3 is related to impotence in men and the rest is a combination of female and male problems or is due to unknown factors.
The benefits of herbs are countless and herbs rarely cause any type of side effects. Herbs that promote ovulation also work by cleansing, balancing and strengthening the organs responsible for human reproduction and often are used in combination with standard medication to receive the most benefits from them.
Therapy with herbs that promote ovulation are able to bring your body back into balance. However, combined or alone, herbs must not be used without the guidance of a health care practitioner, particularly when taken with any fertility drug or other medication.
Although they practically have no side effects, combined with other herbs or medications can be somewhat harmful. Common herbs that promote ovulation include Red Clover Flower, False Unicorn Root, Kelp, Nettle Leaves, Red Raspberry Leaves, Black Cohosh, Don Quai Root, Wild Yams, Pumpkin Seeds, Saw Palmetto Berry and Sarsaparilla Root.
Other herbs that help with ovulation and infertility include Bee Pollen, rich in B-complex that improve sperm production, but not to be used by persons allergic to pollen, and Ginseng, the most popular among the herbs that promote ovulation, often called Korean Ginseng due to the region where it comes from.
Ginseng is also known as China Root and contains over a dozen hormone-like ingredients that also increases sperm formation, elevating testosterone levels and an increased sex drive during pregnancy.
