Pregnancy and Maternity ClothesAfter we have delivered our bundles of joy, many of us will remain in our maternity clothes for a few weeks as our bodies slowly return to their pre pregnancy forms. Then we can finally rid ourselves of our maternity clothes which so many of us consider unflattering and unfashionable. Actually, modern maternity clothes can be very trendy. Many leading high street stores and leading fashion chains have recognized the opportunity to provide high fashion maternity clothes to fashion conscious mothers to be. You'll find that a lot of expectant celebrity mothers are snapped with the latest special maternity clothes on, this only fuels our desire to wear the latest gear and look like our idols. Although it is fair to say that fashion and how we look is probably the farthest from our minds in the eighth month of pregnancy, when we're happy to swap our sexy shoes for a flat sole, supportive uppers and practical material. For most women, the realization of what they are about to do and achieve far outweighs the important of maternity clothes and how good they look. When we finally get our shape back and we no longer have to rely on our maternity clothes, there is the question of what do we do with these clothes that we no longer have a use for? It almost feels like a rights of passage, in our minds we'd love to take them into the back garden and burn them in a statement of decadence. Yet, most of us find other more practical ways to get rid of our maternity clothes. For example, a recent survey has suggested the majority of used maternity clothes are passed among friends and family when they are no longer required. This is closely followed by donating your maternity clothes to your local charity store, which incidentally is probably the best place to pick up quality and affordable maternity clothes if you're on a budget. Many women obviously keep their old maternity clothes, there's a hoarder in everyone of us and throwing away something that was part of an important stage in our lives maybe difficult for some, so the maternity clothes end up in the back of a little used drawer or cupboard. The alternative reason we keep them is that we're hoping they might come in handy in the future, should we decide to increase our family. Whatever we do with our maternity clothes, they're an important part of pregnancy. Some women take to them naturally and flaunt their beautiful pregnant shape, whilst other woman are so against them, they do whatever they can not to wear maternity clothes. If we were to look at it rationally, we would see that it is just clothes. No one ever remembers what you were wearing last week, let alone last month, so spending time worrying about maternity clothes is wasting precious energy in the wrong place.
