Miscarriage Symptoms - Vaginal Bleeding, Blood Clots, Abdomen Cramps

A miscarriage is taken as the unfortunate and spontaneous loss of the pregnancy before 24 weeks. According to the medical research the period of pregnancy between 6-8 weeks is very risky and liable to miscarriage. A surprising number of women suffer from miscarriage symptoms, some will experience it more than once. Fortunately, having miscarriage symptoms or having a miscarriage does not mean the end of your chances of having a baby.

The miscarriage symptoms and severity will vary from one woman to another. Clearly, without any of the more common miscarriage symptoms such as abdomen cramps or bleeding, the less at risk you are of miscarrying. Interestingly, it is thought that women who experienced vomiting and general morning sickness during the first trimester of pregnancy are less prone to miscarriage or premature delivery.

One of the most common miscarriage symptoms is vaginal bleeding, both heavy and light. Blood clots or other signs of broken tissues also are signals or miscarriage symptoms. Though there is a continuous and slight vaginal bleeding during pregnancy, a sudden increase in the amount of bleeding could and should be taken as a possible miscarriage symptom, therefore you should seek urgent medical assistance.

The pains or cramping in the lower abdominal, genitals, lower back, thighs, and buttocks also indicate the symptoms of imminent miscarriage. The pregnancy symptoms like nausea, breast tenderness may subside gradually. A number of women suggest that stress an undue emotional pressure is a cause of miscarriage, this is not strictly accurate, however it is fair to say that it is possibly one of the miscarriage symptoms.

Almost 60% miscarriage takes place due to the genetic problems during fertilization, the failure of the embryo implantation to the womb, hormone imbalance may also cause the miscarriage. The rate of miscarriage is increased as women get older, this is because the quality of the eggs are affected with age as well as the quantity. Although without massive medical support, it is thought that smoking and drinking during the early stages of pregnancy increase the chances of miscarriage.

When a miscarriage begins it is not possible to put off it. Women with slight vaginal bleeding should have an urgent medical check up with an ultrasound scan. During ultrasound scan if the heart beat is prominent than a miscarriage has not occurred. If you showed common miscarriage symptoms, you will most likely be kept in overnight for observation., you will also have your pregnancy risk factor upgraded.

Whilst it is possible to be diligent and keep an eye out for the common miscarriage symptoms, there is little we can do to stop it from actually happening. This is because it is a reaction from our body to the fetus which is most likely defected in some way. This is obviously no consolation to most women who have experienced a miscarriage, yet it is a sign from our body that this time was not the right time, therefore we need to try again for a healthier baby.
