Miscarriage Symptoms and Why Our Body Rejects a Pregnancy

One of the most awful things about pregnancy is that in the back of your mind it is impossible not to be worried about miscarriage symptoms. This is especially true in the first twelve weeks when a miscarriage is more likely than at any other time during the pregnancy.

With regards to the general miscarriage symptoms, they are pretty easy to recognize. The first thing all women describe after a miscarriage is that they felt something just did not feel right. It's true, your body or your mind will have some kind of advanced warning, either slight pains in the abdomen area or excessive bleeding. Sometimes you can just sense that something is not right by the way that you feel compared to the previous day. Regardless of miscarriage symptoms or not, the best thing to do in these situations is to visit your medical doctor as soon as possible.

Once you have shown miscarriage symptoms, you will notice that your medical support will monitor you a lot closer than before. This is because a miscarriage can happen at any time, and unfortunately there is little that can be done to avoid a miscarriage if it is going to happen. What tends to happen is that you are advised to slow things down and rest, if you have shown miscarriage symptoms before or experienced a previous miscarriage, you may well be admitted to hospital and kept under close observation.

One of the most horrid things about miscarriage symptoms is that many women blame themselves, even more so if an actual miscarriage happens. As difficult as it is to comprehend, if a miscarriage occurs in the first twelve weeks, there was probably nothing you could have done to avoid it. Many people believe that stress or anxiety are classic miscarriage symptoms and are subsequent reasons why a woman might have a miscarriage, this is simply not true and has been proven to have no impact on miscarriage chances.

If you show miscarriage symptoms and go onto have a miscarriage in the first twelve weeks of pregnancy, the chances are that your body is rejecting the baby due to a defect. As harsh as this sounds, our body is highly complex and takes action based on genes and deep programming. If the baby is defected or has developed with problems, the body will take action. There is nothing that you can do to change these forces of nature, so it is important that you take some time to understand this process. By understanding the miscarriage symptoms and why our body rejects a pregnancy, we can begin to appreciate and look forward again.

On the positive side, showing miscarriage symptoms does not mean the end of your plans for a baby and family. Many women recover very quickly from a miscarriage and go on to have fit and healthy children. However, if you feel that you need time to get over the affects of a miscarriage, both mentally and physically take things a little slower than normal.
