Diarrhea during Pregnancy
What a wonderful topic to write or indeed read about! Surprisingly, diarrhea during pregnancy is one of the most popular phrases that people who are using the Internet to learn about pregnancy are interested in. One can only jump to the conclusion that perhaps the embarrassing nature of diarrhea means that people prefer to search anonymously rather than speak about the problem.
Actually, people should not really feel like this at all. This is because a recent survey showed that a very high majority of pregnant women questioned about whether they experienced diarrhea during pregnancy, confirmed that they did. So it is quite a common side affect of being pregnant, as if early sickness is not enough, Mother Nature plays another cruel joke later on in pregnancy.
The good news is that diarrhea during pregnancy will be a short lived affair, quite literally in some cases! It will come and go, and whilst being a tad inconvenient it is something that most of us can put up with. Also, there are some pretty affective treatments available over the counter or via your Doctor, so if you think that it is going on for a little longer than it should be, there's always a good route out of the suffering.
Finally, you might also want to keep a close watch on your diet. Some women develop aversions to certain foods during pregnancy, this often results in diarrhea. Whilst previously, you might have enjoyed a particular food with no issues, the many hormones and chemicals during pregnancy might change this. If you're unsure, check out some of the books or content available about which foods are recommended during pregnancy.
