What Are The Very Early Symptoms of Pregnancy?

Ask any mother and the chances are that she will vividly remember the very early symptoms of pregnancy. If a woman has been pregnant before, this only increases her chances of recognizing the signs of pregnancy.

Mother Nature has strange ways to help us spot the very early signs of pregnancy, in order that we start preparing our bodies and mind for a new arrival. For some of us, we have a sixth sense, we just seem to know when the exact moment of conception. Whilst for others, more physical hints are required to make us take action.

Please note; whilst these are very early symptoms of pregnancy, all or any of them do not necessarily mean that you are pregnant. For confirmation, please visit a medical professional.

The Very early symptoms of pregnancy

  • The one that everyone knows. The very early symptom of pregnancy that either marks a period of dread or one of wonderment and achievement; the missed period. This is often the first symptom of pregnancy that motivates a woman to double check their status. Please beware, just because you have missed a period it does not always mean you are pregnant. You will need to seek medical assistance to be sure.

  • If you’ve missed a period and have started to be sick in the mornings, now could be a good time to start thinking about child’s names. A late period is a classic very early symptom of pregnancy, often the first physical response from our body.

  • When we become pregnant, our body reacts by preparing itself to grow and protect a baby. One of the very early symptoms of pregnancy as a result of this is that our breasts will grow, this is because that are getting ready to carry milk. You may also notice that the veins around your breasts are more in view than normal, this is because of the extra blood required to make our bodies work harder.

  • Many a coffee morning has been spent recounting the number of times a visit to the ladies room is required during pregnancy. One of the most inconvenient of the very early symptoms of pregnancy, there is little that we can do about it, it is a direct result of the uterus growing and pressing against our bladder.

As you can see from the list above, nearly all of the very early symptoms of pregnancy are physical. This is nature’s way of giving us something tangible, something real so that we recognize our condition. Another symptom of pregnancy that you will experience throughout the first trimester is the overwhelming feelings of tiredness. When you think about the changes going on inside your body, it’s not hard to understand why you’re feeling tired all of the time. The good news is that once your body becomes used to being pregnant, you’ll lose the sense of tiredness, this usually occurs at the beginning of the second trimester.

This is a rundown of the most common of the very early symptoms of pregnancy. As we’ve already mentioned, most of these symptoms could also relate to other conditions, so it is critical that you have your pregnancy confirmed as soon as possible.
