Symptoms of Pregnancy in the First Week

Actually, there are very little symptoms of pregnancy in the first week. It is not as though your body has had a lot of time to adapt to the changes in circumstances, yet there will be subtle differences that if you're in tune with your body you might be able to spot. These will mostly be physical changes to your body as at this stage it is unlikely you will experience emotional changes.

Although, it is fair to say that some people do know that they have become pregnant as soon as the first week. They find it difficult to explain how they know this, however it is thought that it is more about instinct, perhaps even desire than knowing for absolute certain. Yet, the facts do suggest that we do start to feel a little differently after conception, so there might be something in it. For certain, not everyone is like this as there are often people that do not have a single inkling of being pregnant, despite being 3 weeks late for their period.

The physical changes you might experience during the first week are most likely to be around your breast area. Whilst it is unlikely that they have had a chance to grow too much in size, you might notice that they are a little more sensitive than usual. You will also start to see the nipples grow in size and the surrounding area darken in color.

If you do not spot any symptoms of pregnancy in the first week, do not worry it is not unusual. Most people start to consider that they might be pregnant from about 5 weeks onwards. The end result is the same, so it's probably best not to worry too much during the first week in case you're misled by a red herring.
