Hemorrhoids during Pregnancy
Unfortunately as all women who have been through pregnancy before will tell you, pregnancy isn't without its discomforts. Along with all the usual aches and pains some women will suffer from hemorrhoids during pregnancy.
Hemorrhoids are common during pregnancy simply because of the added pressure upon the body, specifically the pressure on the woman's lower intestine.
It's important to note that hemorrhoids aren't dangerous but there's also not a lot you can do about them, but they will go away after labor and delivery.
Things you can try to alleviate hemorrhoids during pregnancy is taking regular exercise, drinking plenty of fluids and by doing kegel exercises. It's important to try and alleviate the pressure put upon the area so it's advisable you sleep on your side and don't sit for too long on hard surfaces or chairs!
Women usually start to experience hemorrhoids during the last stages of pregnancy so I if you do get them, try to take solace in the fact it won't be much longer before they're gone and your lovely new baby is born.
If you experience bleeding from the hemorrhoids you should have them looked at by a professional physician. Don't forget to ask as many questions as you can about them to ease your concerns.
