Morning Sickness during Pregnancy

Did you ever speak to a really good friend or a work colleague who claimed to never suffer from morning sickness during pregnancy? I don't know what it is about these people, but it is so easy to go off them. How can they not suffer from morning sickness? Surely, every woman has to experience it, especially as I seem to be the worst affected pregnant person with morning sickness the world has ever seen?

I know what this sounds like, I'm hardly promoting camaraderie between the sisterhood. I agree I am openly dissing my friends and colleagues and wishing they suffered more with something I found wholly uncomfortable. Yet, I feel like I have earned my stripes with this one, I suffered from severe morning sickness during pregnancy and all things being equal, I want every one to suffer the same inconvenience, not least because it then becomes a shared experience.

OK, I'm not really that harsh, maybe the odd morning out of seven it would not hurt Mother Nature to share the experience, just a little bit. You see, how am I meant to look like a tough and battle hardened mum if my friends or colleagues did not feel the same way. Effectively, my moans and groans are not about how much, how painful and how darn right rude, instead it descriptions of the whole rotten time spent in the bathroom.

So what I am annoyed about more than the fact that morning sickness does not appear to be a symptom of pregnancy that cares a jot about equality, I am more upset about my ability to brag. How is it possible my friends and colleagues can ever understand my plight if they have never experienced it themselves?
