Severe Morning Sickness and Pregnancy
Severe morning sickness and pregnancy are fortunately experienced in low numbers. It's fair to say that over half of us will go onto have some form of morning sickness, yet the most severe kind is experienced by just a few, obviously scant consolation for these people.
Morning sickness will appear as an early sign of pregnancy between weeks four and eight, there are obviously no rules as to when it will happen as always depends on the individual, usually all symptoms of morning sickness will have disappeared by the end of the first trimester.
If you suffer from severe morning sickness and pregnancy, you should expect to have feelings of nausea and general sickness. You might not always necessarily be vomiting, yet you will often feel as though you want to or need to. This can be very frustrating as it can stop you from enjoying your day as much as you would normally. For example, if you feel like you would like to be sick, you may not want to eat, in turn this means that you are missing out on important nourishment. In severe forms of morning sickness, this can be quite a problem and will start to cause anxiety and stress.
Severe morning sickness is actually quite a problem, if you can imagine constantly feeling sick and being in a daze and then multiply this by ten, you're probably close to what severe morning sickness and pregnancy is like. The actual physical elements of morning sickness are not always the problem; it is the affect severe morning sickness can have on other areas of your life. It is difficult to put in a full day at work (remember at this stage you may not want people to know you are pregnant), it can put strain on relationships and more seriously put you at risk of other incidents.
If you already have children and are suffering severe morning sickness, it is vitally important that you try to arrange help. The most severe morning sickness can be quite debilitating, please try and arrange cover, it is very difficult to look after other children whilst you are feeling like this.
Whilst the originations of morning sickness are still unknown, we do have ways that help to reduce to affects of severe morning sickness. In particular, it is very important that you refrain from all non prescription drugs while suffering. Try to refrain from eating spicy or fatty foods, or indeed any foodstuffs that you think might make you feel ill. A lot of us have certain foods that a single thought of can often make us feel unwell, so it is important to stay away from things like this. You might also want to consider having your meals made for you rather than handling that raw rump of meat, which is not the most attractive thing in the world when you're suffering from severe morning sickness and pregnancy.
