This article is about the 10 most common pregnancy signs. To bring some realism to the content, we actually walked around the office and asked everyone to contribute their own pregnancy signs, so here in all its glory, is the results of our 10 pregnancy signs poll.
1. Missed period
Without doubt the number one response in our 10 pregnancy signs poll. Nearly everyone mentioned this one; it is fair to say that a missed period is often the motivating factor behind someone buying a home pregnancy test kit
2. Swollen or tender breasts
Most of the parents in our poll described how they experienced tender breasts as one of their own pregnancy signs. The size of the breasts tend to increase slightly due to the swelling, as a result of the swelling they are often more sensitive or tender to touch.
3. Morning sickness
Interestingly, morning sickness was not one of the more common pregnancy signs in our poll. It is supposed to affect fifty percent of all pregnant women, our poll reflected this. Those that did experience morning sickness, looked enviously at those who did not.
4. Extreme tiredness
The extreme feeling of tiredness is caused by all of the massive changes occurring inside of your body. Once prepared for pregnancy, the changes will slow down and your energy levels will slowly return to normal. Although judging by the level of activity in our office, it can take a lot longer for the energy to return for some.
5. More frequent visits to the bathroom
The growth in the size of the uterus means that it will be pushing against the bladder. As a result, you will need to urinate a lot more than normal.
6. Headaches
The headaches are not always thought of as one of 10 pregnancy signs, this is because we can experience them at any time and for lots of different reasons. If you're not sure why you're suffering from headaches, look for other early signs of pregnancy.
7. Slight spotting or bleeding
In the early stages of pregnancy, it is common for women to experience slight spotting. However, it should not be as much as a normal period. The color of the spotting will be a pink or brown color and is actually nothing to worry about. However, if you experience it, think of it as a possible sign of pregnancy.
8. Constipation
One of the unfortunate pregnancy signs is the increased chances of becoming constipated. In fact, all of the women question in our poll mentioned it. Their advice? Don't strain to hard and drink plenty of water and dried fruit to help nature take its natural course.
9. Aches and pains
The aches and pains are the results of changes happening within your body. As pressure is put on different areas of the body, aches can begin to develop. Where possible, you should try to take regular and moderate exercise.
10. Dizziness
Another of the 10 pregnancy signs that is not always associated with being pregnant. Yet a good number of women question in our poll mentioned they experienced feeling light headed or dizzy. Medical experts suggest this is due to the increased amount of hormones and chemicals inside of our body during pregnancy.
